Charlton Nash Cup

NASH Cup – Day 6 Preview

So here we stand at the end of a wonderful week, with only 1 match remaining. Very few would have predicted that our top 2 PSA seeds would be cast out of the draw in the semi-finals leaving our 4th and 10th seeded entries vying for the right to have their name added to the growing list of NASH Cup Champions. The final looks to be a fantastic battle

WSA
Congratulations to Kanzy Emad El-Defrawy (EGY, 76) on her first WSA title!

Saturday’s Matches

Challenge Match:  5:30pm

PSA Final 7:30pm – Jens Schoor (GER; 87) vs. [4] Eddie Charlton (ENG; 55)

What is a challenge match? Those in attendance tomorrow will soon learn. This was started in 2013 as an experiment and was a great success. 3 participants will return in 2014 (Holly Delavigne; Rob Doherty; Amit Shah) with 3 rookies to the event joining them (Brad Hanebury; Raphael Kandra (GER); and Emma Beddoes (ENG; world rank 20 in the WSA).

Notes:
• A very limited number of tickets are available for the final from full week ticket holders who are not available to attend.
• The spectators tonight were divided on how they expect tomorrow’s match to come out…and so am I. Both players have the ability to take this home if they can keep to their strengths. Patience is a big part of both player’s strategy which should result in some very long rally’s on the night.
• These players have never faced in PSA competition
